DIY GIFT IDEA | Decorated Wooden Spoons
September 7, 2015Ok so this is a super quick DIY project, there is really only two steps, its pretty simple. Firstly, let it be said that this is not my idea, nor am I claiming it to be, but all those decorated wooden spoons I’ve seen online lately are just so cool I had to give it a go myself. Especially since they are a fantastic idea for a gift and I am always on the hunt for homemade gift ideas. After sitting down and figuring out how I was going to replicate this look, I soon realised it was going to be super easy, which just happens to be my favorite kind of DIY! So this project is dedicated to all of us who are time poor but still want to create amazing handmade gifts.
DIY PROJECT | Basic Recycled Leather Zip Purse
August 11, 2015There really isn’t anything more gorgeous and luxurious than a leather purse, well in my eyes anyway. But I’m not so keen on the price tag of a store bought number…….so I’ve given it a go making my own. I have ended up using mine for a make up bag but they really could be used for anything and would make a fantastic gift. All up it cost me under $10 to make…..now that beats $500+
DIY PROJECT | Chunky Crochet Cushion Cover
July 21, 2015I’ve noticed a trend recently of chunky knit cushions……..and I love them. So I’ve decided to give it a go making one. After mulling over whether to knit or crochet….I decided on crocheting. I love the look of crochet and I found it achieved the chunky open knit I was after a lot more than knitting. As it turns out making my own chunky crochet cushion cover was super easy and cost a fraction of the price of a store bought one….easy and cheap are two of my favorite things…so win win on this project.
