This gift wrapping hack is super easy. I came up with the idea of using an old scarf as ribbon for gift wrapping by accident when I ran out of ribbon recently and I ended up using an old silk scarf instead. Here’s how I did it.
This week I had my first woodwork class. I know zero about woodwork but felt I needed to learn a thing or two before we build our house next year. As I’m envisaging myself being quite involved with the build, especially the interior fittings. At the moment I come up with lots of projects and then pester my other half to make them….so I’m looking forward to being able to “do it myself”
I decided my first project was going to be a simple chopping board. I had visions of one of those gorgeous antique french boards with a paddle handle and lots rustic charm.
I love these old cut glass decanters, I’m always buying them from second hand shops when I come across them. But since I’m not the biggest spirit drinker in the world I’ve had to figure out another use for them.
So I’ve started using them in the kitchen. They are perfect, with their airtight stoppers, for storing all kinds of pantry items like nuts, seeds, lentils, quinoa and popping corn.
