October 14, 2015These hand painted tea towels are really easy to make and are a great idea for a gift…..and lets be honest….tea towels are one thing we all use and can never have enough of, especially if your in my house where they are always disappearing.
Make a bunch in advance and stash away to be pulled out when a gift needs to be given. Better yet, team up with these decorated wooden spoons for the ultimate gift combo.

DIY GIFT IDEA | Decorated Wooden Spoons
September 7, 2015Ok so this is a super quick DIY project, there is really only two steps, its pretty simple. Firstly, let it be said that this is not my idea, nor am I claiming it to be, but all those decorated wooden spoons I’ve seen online lately are just so cool I had to give it a go myself. Especially since they are a fantastic idea for a gift and I am always on the hunt for homemade gift ideas. After sitting down and figuring out how I was going to replicate this look, I soon realised it was going to be super easy, which just happens to be my favorite kind of DIY! So this project is dedicated to all of us who are time poor but still want to create amazing handmade gifts.
DIY PROJECT | Basic Recycled Leather Zip Purse
August 11, 2015There really isn’t anything more gorgeous and luxurious than a leather purse, well in my eyes anyway. But I’m not so keen on the price tag of a store bought number…….so I’ve given it a go making my own. I have ended up using mine for a make up bag but they really could be used for anything and would make a fantastic gift. All up it cost me under $10 to make…..now that beats $500+
DIY PROJECT | Jar of Seeds Gift Idea
July 2, 2015Giving the gift of seeds is a pretty special gift to give in my books and a decorated jar of seeds is a cool way of giving them. They are low cost and super thoughtful, since all the seeds will be from your own garden. Someone once gave me a jar of poppy seeds when they came to visit a while back. This gift really stuck in my head, it was such a thoughtful idea. She had gone to the trouble of harvesting the seeds and giving them to me in a cute jar with beads wrapped around, I was touched. Ever since I have kept this idea tucked away in the “diy gift idea” part of my mind, to be trundled out when a) I had some seeds and b) I could find the perfect reason to give them. Finding a reason was pretty easy but I had to wait until the end of the growing season to get my hands on lots of seeds.
